INFRASTRUCTURE & AMENITIES

BUILDING COMMUNITIES FOR PEOPLE.

Community development is still not considered as a development strategy in many mainstream philanthropy and international aid circles. Nevertheless, we are committed to the cause of transforming needy and lacking communities into safe and well-sufficient places for humans to stay without and huddle. We are here to demonstrate building evidence-based communities that will talk for themself.

The community development framework, for example, which combines assets, capacities, and trust is one of the focuses of our foundations.

    • Building of schools
    • Building of hospitals
    • Building of skills development centers
    • Building of irrigation dams for farmers in remote areas not close to water
    • Building of football of recreational centers

    And many more

Isolated from most of the main cities of Ghana:

Most villages find themselves in the outskirts of the Ghanaians Capital city.

Villages on the outskirts of the Ghanaian City, which mostly depend on fishing and farming to survive are subdued to a hand-to-mouth existence, scooping small fishes in their nets from the muddied banks of the river and traveling long distances to collect drinkable water. Today most of these settlements are populated with people who have no hope of a brighter future.

Most of these people love in Ramshackle huts, some built from mud and straw, and others pieced together with driftwood and corrugated iron.  Families of up to 15 people can live in and occupy a single hut, in a dirty and cramped condition

Isolated from most of the main cities of Ghana:

With very bad or no roads leading in or out of most of these settlements, the average visitors to the main cities of Ghana can be forgiven for not noticing these communities’ existence. Bright Future Aid visited some of these communities before implementing the community development aid project. We have found out that most of these communities experience high levels of seasonal malaria among the inhabitants, swarm flies, and contaminated food, all linked to the dirty waters they drink and bathe in. With no clean water sources of their own, these remote communities depend on dams and so on riddled with diseases and bacteria. Summer rains only increased the problem, as stagnant water rose from the fragile riverbanks to flood the village, polluting and damaging the unprotected huts and causing raw sewage to seep into where the children ate, slept, and played.

Building Affordable Homes for Low-income Persons

We are met with community leaders on our visits, to assess the most urgent needs of the children and young people living in remote areas. It was concluded that most of these remote areas need clean, safe drinking water more than anything else, to halt the spread of preventable diseases and deter the swarms of mosquitoes attracted to the dirty water. The water Project for remote communities was then launched to provide a safe water pipeline running directly to these communities. Today some of these communities can access clean water from tap right outside their homes, safe in the knowledge that they are no longer at risk from deadly waterborne diseases such as cholera and dysentery. HOW CAN YOU HELP

Our relationship with the people in the rural areas is profound and personal. The strength, resilience and love they display through terrible circumstances continue to inspire us to work to build a brighter future for them. We want to do more for these communities but we cannot do so alone.

Many of these remote areas are still waiting for aid and support to enhance their way of life. By prioritizing communities in need like those in Ghana with a full project sponsorship or a donation, you could play a vital role in the Ghanaian community’s happiness and success.
